Hot, Creamy Crab Dip

FullSizeRender copyThe holiday season is upon us, and it’s a fantastic excuse to try out new recipes. I’m a HUGE fan of dips… I literally order extra dressing, hummus, sauce or whatever side accompanies most dishes at restaurants. I undoubtedly look like a piglet, but calories don’t count when it comes to sauces and dips (in my personal opinion).

I made this dip as an appetizer for Thanksgiving, and again for a dinner party, and it was a hit both times! Serve it warm with crackers or chips, and your guests will surely be impressed.

1 can crab meat (6 oz. can)

3/4 cup grated cheddar cheese (low-fat can be used)

1 8 oz. package cream cheese softened (I use low-fat)

1/2 cup sour cream (light can be used)

1/2 cup mayonnaise (light can be used)

2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice

1 teaspoon dijon mustard

1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

1/4 teaspoon pepper

1/4 teaspoon salt

OPTIONAL: 1 teaspoon red chili flakes (I like to kick up the spicy factor)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Mix all ingredients together in a mixing bowl.

Place mixture in oven safe dish or pie pan.

Bake 30 minutes.

Serve warm with your favorite crackers & your guests will wish they had worn stretchy pants!
